Generative AI disclosure

SeqDesk was developed with the assistance of generative AI tools. Parts of the source code, tests, and user and developer documentation (including this documentation site) were generated with LLM-based coding agents, primarily Claude Code  (Anthropic, Claude models) and Codex  (OpenAI, GPT models).

Review and validation

  • The maintainers designed the software architecture, specified the functionality, and reviewed all AI-generated code and documentation before inclusion. Generated code was never used without checking it.
  • The software is validated through automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests that run in continuous integration. The end-to-end tests use dummy and example datasets that cover the full order, pipeline, and ENA submission workflow.
  • Installation is tested on the supported deployment environments, and all functionality is additionally checked manually.

Responsibility

The maintainers take full responsibility for the correctness of the software and its documentation. AI tools are not credited as authors. This follows the ISCB Policy for Acceptable Use of Large Language Models .
